This policy sets out how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you visit allknd.org, sign up for our training, donate, or otherwise interact with us.

ALLKND LTD – PRIVACY POLICY

1. SCOPE
This policy applies to all personal information collected by ALLKND through:
🔹 our website allknd.org (the “Site”);
🔹 our Good Mate Training platform;
🔹 fundraising activities, events and surveys;
🔹 any other dealings you have with us.

2. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Depending on how you engage with us, we may collect the following:

Engagement – Personal information collected
Good Mate Training sign‑up – Full name, email address (mandatory).
Donations & fundraising – Full name, email, phone number, billing address, donation amount and payment details (handled by our secure payment processor – we do not store full card numbers).
General enquiries & events – Name, email, phone, organisation, any information you voluntarily provide.
Website browsing – Device and usage data (cookies, IP address, browser type) collected via analytics services to improve our Site.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 15 without parental consent.

3. HOW DO WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION?
🔹 Directly from you when you complete a form, make a donation, email or phone us, or participate in surveys or events.
🔹 Automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you browse the Site (see Section 9).

4. WHY DO WE COLLECT AND USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

🔹 process donations and issue tax‑deductible receipts (ALLKND is a registered charity with DGR status – donations over $2 are tax‑deductible);
🔹 manage events, volunteering and community programmes;
🔹 respond to enquiries, feedback and complaints;
🔹 conduct research and evaluation to improve our services;
🔹 conduct marketing and fundraising communications that we think may interest you (you can opt out at any time);
🔹 comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

5. TO WHOM DO WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We may disclose your information to:
🔹 trusted service providers such as email platforms, web hosts, payment processors and analytics partners who assist us in operating our charity;
🔹 professional advisers (lawyers, accountants) where necessary;
🔹 regulators, government agencies, or law enforcement where required by law;

All third‑party suppliers are contractually obliged to protect your information and must not use it for their own purposes.

Some service providers are located overseas (incl. the United States). Where we transfer data outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient protects it in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

While no system is completely secure, we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

8. ACCESS AND CORRECTION
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you at any time. To do so, please contact our Security Officer (details in Section 12). We will respond within 30 days. If we refuse access, we will provide written reasons.

9. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to:

🔹 measure traffic and usage patterns via tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel;
🔹 improve our content and marketing. You can disable cookies via your browser settings, but this may affect Site functionality.

10. DIRECT MARKETING
We may send you emails about training updates, events, fundraising and resources. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in our emails or contacting us.

11. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law (e.g. taxation, charity regulation). When no longer required, we securely delete or de‑identify the data.

If you believe we have breached the APPs, please contact us in writing. We will respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

13. NOTIFIABLE DATA BREACHES
In the unlikely event of a data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the OAIC in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available on allknd.org and will be effective from the date of posting.

15. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY
ALLKND acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their continuing connections to land, sea and community wellbeing. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
